[DUG] D2007 Welcome Page

Two reboots, and its back. Welcome back to Windows.

I have had a problem with my PC since I installed D2007. I upgraded
ZoneAlarm at the same time. Since then if hyperthreading is on, any
heavy work kills the app concerned. Right away I removed D2007, no
luck. I disabled ZA, no luck.

It took replacing all hardware drivers and repairing win2K and replacing
the cpu before I figured out it was hyperthreading. Then I replaced the
hard-disk, memory and motherboard... still no go. Finally I migrated to
XP, a new OS, and the problem remained.

On a new PC I installed D2007, it carried on working. I installed ZA,
it stopped working. I disabled ZA, it still did not recover. I
uninstalled ZA, and it started working again. The new version of ZA is
fine, so finally after months the PC is back to its normal speed..

However, now that I am on flakey XP, things are just as interesting.
Desktop icons re-arrange themselves several times a day. Folders keep
losing their settings. Explorer crashes 3 to 4 times a day. For some
hours of the day, IE does not work. :-)
