Wow, that's cheap!

I'm currently using www.kiwihosting.net.nz, and while they're friendly
to deal with, I'm paying US$3.95/month for 350MB storage + 5GB traffic.
And I think their servers are in the US anyway.

Even if I went with GoDaddy's basic plans, if I signed up for 3 years, I
could get US2.80/month for 5GB storage + 100GB traffic.

I think I'm going to have to send Kiwihosting Sales an email to enquire
if they want to reconsider their fees.

Alister, do you know if it's possible to try out a GoDaddy plan prior to
actually changing the DNS settings for my domain?

And yeah, Google Analytics is fun! I've now had hits from 104 countries
in just over a year...

Cheers,

C.

I've been using GoDaddy, basically because they're really really cheap
(when compared to hosting in NZ). I'm using a deluxe linux plan which
works about at $US6 a month for 100GB storage and 1TB traffic, although
I don't think I've done more than 30GB of traffic in a month as yet or
used more than 100MB of the storage, but it's nice to know the capacity
is there.

The only complaint I'd have would be that it's a bit slow to access as
it is hosted in the US. But my number 1 source of traffic is the US,
then Germany, South Korea, Russia, United Kingdom, Turkey, Canada,
Netherlands, Ukraine, France for the last month. I'm surprised at the
amount of traffic I get from non-english speaking countries, which
overall would be most of the traffic. This month NZ comes in at #21
just after Norway, and I suspect if you took my visits out of the
picture it would be much further down the list (perhaps after Moldova
which is #50). I have to say that Google analytics is pretty fun.
