[DUG] Quick Reports

Hi

We generally are now using PDFCreator which is freeware and can be found
at http://www.pdfforge.org/products/pdfcreator/. If just installs as a
printer and when you want to create a PDF, just change your printer to
the PDFCreator printer and print as normal. I've used it numerous times
for various projects and it works great. Plenty of different options for
setting it up for saving, auto-saving, filename, PDF Format and DPI
settings.

Dumb question, but how did you get it to print to PDF? Did you use a 3rd
party component? If so, which one?

Hi Alistair,

I must say it is a huge pain to use quick report. So limited in all
area. What I did is print the quick report to pdf file and use
http://www.lowagie.com/iText/ to merge the pdf files as one single file.
Sorry that I don't know how to print quick report to pdf in Delphi. It
is developed by my collegues.

	Hi,

Having an issue with quick reports. I am using Delphi6 and the
database we use is a Universe database.
The report is an existing report, where I basically send it a
policy number. It then retrieves data from the database and prints a
report based on that. I am not able to make any mods to the report
itself as it's a shared unit with many other applications, but the
command to print is outside of the report itself. What I am trying to do
is send it more than one policy number and get it to create a report for
each policy number and once complete, print them all off at one (or save
to one file).

I have tried using the "newPage" call and a few other things,
but with everything I try, the report only prints the last policy number
I gave it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

	Alistair
