As others have said you can do this, and in fact Accredo does this just
so that its can show a dialog saying that we don't support Win 9x any
more!

It's a bit of trouble to go too, but better than having weird support
calls when people try and run the new apps against the old Windows. 

And FYI our main reason for not supporting Win 9X is that we need to use
64 file operations, so that customers can have really big files.
