[DUG] Slightly OT

We have an account with Dove Electronics at work, so I tend to hang-out for
Fridays when their Friday-Specials come out :-)  But if I do need to buy a
PC, I generally build my own with parts from Dove. I can put it on my
account ate work and pay for I in a month which I handy :-)

But in general, I buy locally to support locally companies, and also so I
can get it the same day in 95% of the cases, othewise its only overnight.
That pretty much applis to Trademe now too. I really only look at local
listings rather than out of town listings unless I REALLY want something
specific. This way, I can do a buy now and pick it up the same day. My
mantra is "If I cant have it today I don’t want it"   :-)

So Dell you clearly buy direct (no other option), but you buy HP from from
HP? Compucon probably from Compucon. What about you personally, if you want
stuff for yourself as a developer, do you just go through work?
