Well actually its not 100% surprising, thing about modern languages with
a rich history is that they are huge, and no-one can know everything
about it. A great example of this was / is Danny Thorpe, no-one could
doubt his expertise with Delphi and the compiler and majority of the VCL
in particular, but ask him a Database or Database component question or
even a Web App question, and likely he will refer you to someone else,
as he simply didn't do that stuff.
Don't beat yourself up over that kind of thing, I've been using Delphi
since the very early Alpha's of version 1 (when it was still on
diskette), and I still learn something new each week.
If you want to see class methods in action, have a look at the generated
COM factory stuff and helper classes when you create a COM component.
