I use BDS2006 on Vista, with a Intel Prescott 3Ghz 2Gb ram, and i'd
never go back to XP for development, my system has never run so fast,
loading BDS takes around 10-12 seconds to load with my last project
loaded ready to go, this in XP would take closer to 30-40 seconds.

Stability seems pretty good, I still have the occasional crash with
BDS2006, this is with XP or vista and may be related to some third party
controls.

I have Vista Business here, but had RC2 Vista Ultimate for over 6 months
running fine. One problem I have with Vista is slow network times when
copying large files, this is a known problem, some people get it and
some people don't.

My 2 cents.

Has anyone tried BDS 2006 on Windows Vista?  Are their any known issues?

Also we are looking at a new development machine running Vista Ultimate 
and BDS 2006 (to be purchased).  We are looking at a Dual core CPU and 
2GB of RAM.  I take it 2GB will be more than sufficient for good 
performance?
