[DUG] Annoying Access violation in D2006 IDE

No, dont use D2006.  My first thought would be components - check the 
paths in a zillion places especially if you have upgraded your project 
from D7.  Especially crappy is the relationship between dpr and dproj, 
they are always going out of sync for me.
