[DUG] Migration from IBX to Interbase to SQL-Server 2005

I didn't ask this very well - why ADO over DBX ?
Most (If not all) of what I have been able to find on the Net and Newsgroups says ADO is better...
"It was designed to work better with SQL-Server" etc...
This is a bit airy-fairy - is it correct ? does it still apply to D2006 Win32 ?
Almost all of the info relates to versions other than D2006. Has DBX surpassed ADO in D2006 ?
