Me too - If a default date is supplied, users can type just 20 to change the
day to the 20th of the same month etc...
Also 99 to set to the last day of the month (taking into account months and
leap years etc).

I am glad I don't yet have to do some of the odd format dates - I saw how
Japanese dates are shown in the maintenance notes for my Jap import (lucky I
got them) but I would never have decoded the dates without help.  But I
digress...
