I use IBVIEW having written it myself  (with some help) :-)

It will give you an indication of a problem to do with OATs but does not give 
any details.  I added a quick check in so that periodically the support staff 
can ensure that transactions are not getting tangled up.

What are some good tools for monitoring Interbase/Firebird - 
specifically to look for hung transactions?
