[DUG] List working?

Sorry for the late reply. We are moving to our brand new building today, or
rather packing up as the movers are doig the actualy moving for us, so there
has been no internet access etc. at work since we have to move 20 odd
servers !! PLUS....since we use I think its Walker Wireless or who ever they
are called now, and even tho the new building is right behind our current
one, they cant get a signal..DOH !!  Hehehe gotta laugh...so we got off
early :-)

ANYWAY....in defense of your comment Neven that Access is a dog, which I
still don’t really agree with, a badly designed database is even worse. It’s
a dog with three legs.
So if you design a good Access DB, then atleast,if you continue to thingk of
Access as a dog...which I don’t.. it’s a grey-hound :-)

Don’t get me wrong, Access is a total pain in the arse for me at times. Esp.
when I come home from work after writing Stored Procs in MSSQL and
think..."MAN if only I could use Stored Procs !!"  
But like I say, it really doesn’t peform very badly for our situation/s and
customers have never complained about speed. Its all in the design and what
you place you keys on.

The other reason we still use access is because of the time to swap over to
MSDE, which is pretty much where we will go. I have however made the
transition hopfully a bit smoother by not binding controls etc. and using
standard SQL etc.

BUT in a final comment....anyone used DBISAM over a network connection??
Now that IS A DOG !! In fact, it’s a dog with only 2 legs !!
