QUESTION:  My question is how can the same EXE file do GUI stuff and yet
also run under DOS bootdisk for commandline Options - ie as a Console app,
and can Delphi do this?  (and secondly could you make it this small?).

Re Drive Snapshot.....
Its pretty clever in that one 140K file SNAPSHOT.EXE does:

-under windows backup any partition to a disk image

-under windows restore any disk from disk image to any partition (other than
C)

-Map any disk image eg to drive Z: and open using Windows explorer

-make a boot floppy containing network and NTFS support (Freedos) - uses a
diskimage for floppy  that is supplied with the program

-The same SNAPSHOT.EXE used on the boot floppy with command line options (no
GUI) can do command line  restores for C drive.
