You can always use com interface. Let your control application instantiate
multiple com object.

Okay, and open a pipe so interactive can talk to the control app. Next
question then is an application can tell that it is being started during
startup.
No, on second thoughts, I guess I can get the control app to automatically
start applications say 1-4 depending on some registry entry.
