There is nothing 'simple' about it (have you written a cross platform
COM engine?), also evidently there are huge websites out there running
interpreted php (no kidding), actually the actual programming in most
apps is very simple (my app framework in delphi does most forms in less
than 100 lines) though a lot of people turn up there noses at
intrepreted(sp) apps they can be hugely effective (and faster than
compiled ones), XUL appears to be a very effective cross platofrm ui
