We have found the having the software assurance (we have Architect), has
saved us money on upgrading through versions...

Hi

Also Just looking at the site and pricing.

We would be upgrading from Delphi 6 to 2005 Professional. When I choose
the option I am told that Software Assurance has been added to my order
but can be removed (it is then not added to my order !).

If I select D2005 to D2006 and it is added to my order this time. It
costs almost the same as the product itself and gives me the
following...

With Software Assurance you will receive:

*	All software upgrades for one year
*	Three phone support incidents for one year

(Price based on current list price of software upgrades and individual
incidents.)

I assume it doesn't mean service packs and bug fixes when it says 'All
software upgrades' as these would be free anyway? If I am correct and
it is only for new releases and the Development cycle is about 18mths,
than $405 (on a $541 purchase) )is a lot of money to pay for 3 phone
support incidents within one year.

Am I missing something?

Just looking at the site for prices and it talks about
pre-ordering, so the question being if I pre-order it now when will it
arrive? I'm assuming before Christmas so us hardcore type people can
play with it over our holiday? :o) Googling seems to indicate that
it'll ship extremely soon.
