Have you not seen mono? C# on Windows, Linux, OSX. Don't confuse C# with
.NET. C# is a language that sits on the .NET platform. Same as Delphi.
Why would anyone use c#? Ease of use, speed of development, huge runtime
library, community, multi-platform (Windows, SmartPhone, PocketPC, now Palm,
and Linux and Mac using Mono).

Moving
to another language without cross-platform (esp unix) support isnt a go for
me.
