Hi Guys & gal,
Every once in a while we get some promotional material for the User Group. This one is offering a free Delphi 2005 Training DVD, and to decide who gets it I've thought up an idea to have a simple competition.
I've put the details up on the User Group website .. hey, yes there is a User Group website ... Nic Wise originally managed it, then Richard, and it went off the radar for a while, so I decided sometime ago to quietly start getting some material up using a CMS that I use in teaching (called Moodle - see www.moodle.org.nz).
So to help the website get some content, I'd like to propose a competition to produce the best article / white paper on some aspect of Delphi. The guidelines for voting will be that it represent the most "useful" for Delphi developers. Articles should be 2 to 3 pages in length.
Now I know you're all working away there on projects, and you all develop something useful for the job at hand, and I'd like to see that we can foster some sharing of ideas and techniques.
So please put your thoughts and experience on paper (digital that is), and email them to admin at delphi.org.nz. I'll post them on the DUG website, and then in about two weeks I'll set up an online vote so we can all decide who did the best article. All submissions must be in by July 15th 2005.
The first prize, at the moment is the Keystone Learning Delphi 2005 Training DVD. For more details about this go to our website http://www.delphi.org.nz.
I'll also try and organise some additional prizes for second ... third ... etc. Anyone got free versions of their software to donate??? Up the anti and all?
Also any suggestions for the website can also go to admin at delphi.org.nz. All flamethrowers will be suitably dealt to. <g>
So let the games begin!!
Gary
