[DUG] Copying text

Hi

I don't know if I'm being a bit dense today after the long weekend, but I'm trying to remember the easiest way to copy text from a TRichedit component to the component with the text defined as TStringlist.
I can do it by saving it to a text file and then loaded it into the component with Loadfromfile, but takes a bit more time and I'm getting problem with cache flushing the as latest savde detail its always the one being reread into the TStringlist.

Any help please
