Business owner but considering chucking it in, Not that I don't make 
good money, Its just in the latest budget that #$%^$ Cullen now wants me 
to run a national savings scheme for him

I have an application framework I wrote and a bespoke app I support in it

Good question, C# possibly, though i'd seroiusly look at XUL

Currently WAMP5 (windows, apaphe, mssql, php5) though Ajax looks 
interesting, certainly ajax competes in the XUL space

PHP5 - Awesome
