[DUG] Traffic Builiding Question.

The reason I switched is nothing at all to do with .NET as a platform. About
3 years ago I had a play with C# and liked it.
I have been moving new apps to C# the last couple of years, and now am
employed as a C# developer.
To me these days C# gives me the same feel that Delphi used to. Delphi is
still good, but IDE issues have turned me off. I do a lot of Asp.NET apps
too and makes sense to do it all out of the same IDE. I tried D2005 but the
issues with the IDE and the fact that at Pro level you cant use SQL Server
with ADO.NET is a showstopper.
I still use Delphi for Win32, but to be honest if there was a C# for Win32
would probably use it. Delphi was/is a great tool and was literally years
ahead of its time, but unfortunately (IMO) its time has come, and going
forward C# is a better option for me.

Do those of you moving to .Net see this as being the only future? I wonder
if
anyone is looking at Linux based development, and what about Mono?
1) Contractor with same client for a long time
2) Bit of everything
