I am not sure how closely you want to interact with the app, but if you are
just wanting to have the user click a button/menu entry to start it and have
it running as a totally separate process, you can do that via a Shellexec
command,  you can run anything 16 bit, open a Command window etc  - I have
done this to start batch files and DOS apps for instance.

Have a look at jvCreateProcess in JVCL. You cant graft it in but you can
capture output from dos console windows and do what you like with it. Of
course you are right out of luck with graphical apps. Shoot the user if
still using these.
