Unfortunately that is a bug. You need to resize if manually.

Press F12. Although you might want to switch off the embedded form
designer (there is an option on the VCL Designer option page in Tools
| Options). There is also a tabpage for the designer at the bottom of
the code editor.

It is great. Best delphi I've used. (but really the latest version
should be the best!)

Not sure what you mean but you might want to drop an XPManifest
component onto the form so it is themed. Is that it?
